In contrast i sat in the bleachers of fenway last year with my girlfriend, both of us wearing yankees gear and everyone was really cool and respectfull. i anticipated the worst but was pleasantly suprised ;-D of course a lot of people busted my balls but it was all in fun and not mean spirited at all.

so while red sox fans are definitely way more annoying around town, in my experience they are great hosts.

wow, I heard of one game between the sox and orioles at fenway and there was a guy with an orioles shirt on who was getting crap from the fans and he finally had had enough so he stood up and ripped his shirt off and he had a yankees shirt on underneath, lol. He got bombarded with everything you canimagine with his girlfriend sitting next to him. The security had to escort this guy out of the stadium because he was getting absolutely nailed.

I think it's safe to say there are bad fans on both sides of the rivalry. IN general, though, both parks are hospitable.

All I have to say is that IF, and I know thats a big if, the Red Sox win the World Series this year, it will be THE BIGGEST EVENT to of ever happened in New England. And I know all the Yankee fans will say there is no way, and that every year we think we're going to win and don't, but I really don't know what would happen if we, the Red Sox, actually won. I'm sure after that last out of the World Series, all of New England would be silent for a few seconds, and then something catastropic would happen. I just saw a preview for the new movie, "The Day After Tomorrow," and I think that is a very accurate of desrciption of what would happen. I love the Sox, and pray that'll they win, but if they do, I think the world may just come to an end. OR, I could be completely wrong.... :-b

This is true. I saw a documentary once on Sox fans and they all said that they wouldn't know what to do IF the Sox actually won. Some even went so far as to say that it would take the excitement out of the game for them.
