what to do when you're in first?

Ok, fact is is that I'm well into first place of my 11 team yahoo points league. However, while I agree that my team doesn't have any real weak spots (except for relievers maybe) there are numerous good players availabe on the free agent list.

I think that this is the best team that I've ever owned, and I'm just wondering if there's anyway that I could improve it. I realize that I should probably trade for a relief pitcher, but I don't really know who I should offer around.

These are the players I've been giving consideration to. If there is anyone you see on this list that deserves a spot on my team let me know, as well as who's spot they should take

I don't know that there is anyone available on that list that I'd swap a roster player for, but you may want to troll for another closer. I don't think Valverde will be long term. Mantei makes too much money.

ibanez is pretty weak as your 1b, you should try to trade him for a decent closer, maybe mesa or looper?

I think you're right, i'm gonna try to offer Ibanez around for a closer and we'll see what happens

I notice a spot on your roster notated RP -- empty --. If you've got an open slot, you should maybe grab Betancourt off FA (he's the closer du jour in Cleveland and has gotten his first couple saves). You could still work Ibanez for a more name guy.

eric milton is a quality pitcher but you need a reliever i guess. maybe trade a starter for a reliever then pick up milton and drop lance nix.
