I just dropped Millar and picked up Overbay off waivers. Am I chasing a hot hitter or did I make a smart move? My other first basemen is Teixera. H2H league, 12 teams.

I agree; no ones touching him in my league.

You say no one is touching him, but are you considering picking him up? If not, why?

I have Giambi and F. Thomas; no need to pick him up plus I don't think he'll keep it up anyway.

two things:
1) overbay was a good prospect, but he didn't pan out in 'zona. Maybe he is coming into his own at miller park. tht would be nice ( I have him in one deeeeeeeeeep league an have been very happy with what he has done so far).
2) bostonbk7 -- your sig is out of date.

Right now he is fifth in RBI's. I'm really surprised no one has picked him up until me in my league and no one else really in your leagues. Of all the hot hitters that people are picking up this guy would seem to be near the top of the list. Anyway, I'm trying him, we'll see how it works out.

Overbay won't ever hit 30+ HR's, he's not that kind of hitter. Even in AA he wasn't the power type. If you want Sean Casey type of production in the future he will be an alright prospect. I would rather have him develop into a Mike Sweeney type hitter who has some power and hopefully hit over .300 with 25 hr's who doesn't strike out and can spray the ball over the field. But that won't be for a few more years at the earliest IMO.
Oh, he's not overrated. He's not really a consideration really unless you are in a deep league or an NL only league.
