P - Mussina, Maddux, Kerry Wood, Derek Lowe, Keith Foulke, Kazuhiro Sasaki, Tim Wakefield
Bench - Carlos Beltran (injured), Corey Patterson, Alan Embree, Mike DeJean, Brett Myers, D'Angelo Jimenez

I know I am weak at C and 1B, but they were getting taken off the board way too early, leaving me with bargains I couldn't pass up....

C - Hernandez: probably as good as anybody not named Piazza or Posada.
1B - Choi: think you may be looking for a replacement in the early going. He either won't start full-time or will struggle....or both.
2B - Kent: what more needs to be said. The best option at 2B.
SS - Arod: even less needs to be said. Best player around, period.
3B - Chavez: very good young guy who is getting better.
OF - Wilson/Juan Gone/Lee/Matsui: pretty nice mix of speed/power and average
SP - Mussina/Maddux/Wood/Lowe/Wakefield: probably the strength of your team. Nice mix of control and strikeout pitchers, plus the obligatory knuckleballer.
RP - Foulke/Sasaki/Embree(?)/DeJean: Probably above average. Two very solid closers and one who was decent last year. If Embree were to be named closer, that would help you a lot.
Bench - Decent depth. Here's hoping Beltran isn't injured for long. If you get him back, your OF goes from pretty good to very, very good in a hurry.

All in all, I'd be pretty happy with this roster.....

Thanks, Hooligan, I think I am. There are simply no better 1B available on the waiver wire, so I am going to hold my breath and see how Choi does....

Your infield is pretty stacked. It's hard to get a decent Catcher if Piazza, Posada, I-Rod, and Lo Duca are gone, and most of those guys aren't worth a high draft pick. Choi could be a huge problem, hopefully someone on the waiver wire will emerge as a decent option if Choi falters. Kent, A-Rod, Chavez ... enough said!

As long as Beltran gets healthy, your outfield is ridiculously solid.

Your starters are strong and you have a ton of relievers all of whom should get you a nice amount of saves.

Your only real room for improvement is at 1B and C. It's hard to believe there is nobody better than Choi at first, considering there is a decent amount of average first basemen in the league ... other than that, not much else to say other than nice job!
