update:
Nate Field becomes backup closer
Nate Field, RP KC
News: The Kansas City Star reports that Field has surpassed Curtis Leskanic, who is limited by shoulder problems, as Mike MacDougal's backup closer. With MacDougal ineffective at Toronto Monday, Field allowed only one hit in two-thirds of an inning for the win.
Analysis: Field has allowed only one earned run in 10 appearances so far this season. Consider picking him up in AL-only leagues if you are desperate for saves. The Royals have not had many opportunities this season, but Field is sandwiched by two shaky relievers at the back end of the bullpen.
