Is it time to let the old man go? He has interleague games coming up, so he will miss about 9 games because he won't DH. I hate to drop him because the guys around him just aren't getting on base to give him some RBI chances. Anybody have any thoughts on him? Is he worth hanging on too? (I have Nomar and Preston on my bench, so benching him is not an option).
Definetly don't keep him on your team, hes one of the most amazing pure hitters of all time (in my opinion) but he is very old (I think 41) and will likely retire after this year, just not enough pop or bat speed anymore.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!
As much as I don't like it, I'm getting about ready to drop him too. Edgar has always been a guy that I could grab very late in the draft and still get good production out of. Unfortunately so far this year, he really hasn't done much. I've been waiting for Seattle to heat up a bit, but I am starting to get concerned.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
he just struck out with the bases loaded Uhh, and the only guys worth picking up are Matt Holliday and Erstad...I wish I had an open DL spot because Dmitri Young is on the WW....

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
Plus, don't forget the fact that having him on your team means jamming up your UT spot.
"One of the teams represents truth, justice, the American way, and underdogs everywhere. The other represents George Steinbrenner!" - U.S. News and World Reports columnist John Leo on the difference between the Mets and the Yankees.
I wouldn't have dreamed of cutting Martinez lose until I watched him play in the Series against the Tigers.
Even if it was just a bad series for him, he looked terribly slow and overmatched even against Detroit's pitching.
He has been so good for so long -- you always risk missing a sustained burst. But judging from the way he looked, he'd have a hard time bursting the top of a bottle of Geritol.
I'll stop there ... because I'm sure he'll pop about 4 HRs this week. These guys have a way of making me look stupid lately.
having grown up in seattle my whole life. It wasn't easy but i just dropped him earlier this week. The guys in front of him aren't getting on base to give him those RBI ops. He is batting in the 5 sport usually, sometimes even the 6.
And with interleague play coming up, there are just better options out there. Sorry Eddy.
