So did I. I think he must have gotten banned. If so, good job mods.

As a Yankee fan, I'd still say no thanks to having Barry. He can stay in SF and never win a championship for all I care. I don't think the Yankees need him and I certainly don't want him either.

I wouldn't want Bonds. His attitude is not worth it to me especially, since the team is already the best in the majors. And his head is much bigger than the rest of the Yankees, who in general are very team first. Bonds claims to be a team first guy, but I don't believe him.

Certainly wasn't Bonds fault they never won a championship. He had World Series MVP locked up before Dusty blew it.
One thing I see being overlooked is that the Ginats won't be "getting nothing in return" for Bonds when he retires. His $20 million + contract will be mostly off the books which will give them free agent market cash. Their payroll is $80+ million. Bonds is almost 25% of that.

NO FRIGGIN CHANCE THAT THE GIANTS WILL TRADE BARRY (this season). PEEE-RIOD.

Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

Barry's kid is starting school in the fall at Brentwood (in L.A.)...I wouldn't be surprised if he came to play for the Dodgers or Angels to be closer with him...
