Since 6 offensive categories make the steals category a little less significant, is Barry Bonds worthy of a number one selection. He singlehandedly carries OPS nowadays.

If OPS is included, I think he's the consensus #1 pick.

Bonds's RBIs are deflated somewhat due to his fewer opportunities to actually hit. Our league counts OPS, and the first hitters drafted this past Saturday were in this order: ARod, Soriano (I don't think he should have gone that high due to miserable OPS), Guerrero, Pujols, Giambi, Bonds.

If OPS counts, then Bonds is the number one pick, without question, IMHO.

How did Soriano go that high? That boggles my mind... The person who picked him over Vlad and Bonds missed something I think...

I won't claim all the credit, but I did nudge him toward Soriano so I could get Guerrero.

If it means anything I picked Bonds number 1. For OPS, walks, and he hardly ever strikesout. And of course the home runs, average, and RBI's will be there. I just feel comfortable picking the best player who's playing at the highest level.
