I decided to roll the dice. He is supposed to have 2 starts this week. I am hoping that he gets to make that other start.

after the first inning he pitched well. he only labored in the first inning and then his last inning ( 6th ) . i don't think they will replace him after this outing, he made significant progress.

6 runs = significant progess?? He is struggling to get out of another inning as we speak. If Bowa is even relatively smart, he will puts Madson in the rotation ASAP.

I thought that Myers was the next big thing, even started him (hoping) on one of my teams tonight - but I think he needs to go back to the minors for a while and learn how to go 6-7 innings and win again. Giving up hits to the 7th & 8th-place hitters to lead off an inning, once the Phillies tied it up... that's inexcusable.

did you watch the game? did you even look to see that only 3 of those were earned?

earned or not, Myers gave up 10 hits...ALL of those were earned hits. No I didn't watch the game, but it doesn't take a scientist to figure out 10 hits, 6 runs = bullpen.

um, nope. I have the stats right in front of me and watched the game. It was only 3 ER's. and like i said he only labored in his first and last inning, otherwise he looked better. also i still have not fully understood why people are so excited to see Madson. you didn't watch the game so you really don't know how he pitched at all, so don't try and say you have a better opinion then someone who did.
