I'm in a ten team league that allows up to six keepers. Head to head league. Scoring categories are:
Batting: R, 2B, HR, RBI, SB, .AVG, .OBP
Pitching: W, L, S, K, BB, .ERA, .WHIP
I am wondering if I have too much speed and could use some more HR/RBI? Jeter and Nomar were taken four picks apart, and I could probably trade Jeter for Nomar, because Nomar's owner has a ton of pop in his line-up, but is really hurting speed wise.
My team is (and we use specific OF positions):
C - Hall (TB) and C. Johnson (COL)
1B - Palmiero (TEX) and Huff (TB)
2B - Durham (SF) and Biggio (HOU)
3B - Glaus (ANA) and Bell (PHI)
SS - Jeter (NYY) and Guzman (MIN)
LF - Matsui (NYY) and *Cruz Jr. (SF)
CF - Beltran (KC)
RF - Guerrero (MON) and Cuddyer (MIN)
SP - Maddux (ATL)
SP - Prior (CHC)
SP - Wolf (PHI)
SP - Pinero (SEA)
SP - Lawrence (SD)
RP - Mesa (PHI)
RP - Foulke (OAK)
RP - Villafuerte (SD)
RP - Santana (MIN)
Roster Limit is 24. *Cruz Jr. is eligible at LF, CF, and RF.
Durham, Jeter, Beltran, and Guerrero all stole at least 25+ bases last season. And The last three stole 30+.
I am just wondering if I need more pop in a ten team league, or if I have enough to compete with anybody even with all the speed.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Also, if you see any other holes in my team, please point them out. I tried to get as ballanced a squad as I could, and I think I've got some players in reserve roles, especially Santana, that could bust out and be huge.
Thanks,
Eli
