This is your best team ever? You must have had some pretty bad teams in the past. Your pitching is very weak for a 10-team league. Your offense is better than your pitching, but not great. I would start Kearns over Jones in the OF. But Pujols, Tejada, Chavez is a nice core for your offense.

Pujols is best played at third. Try to shop Chavez for as big a bat as you can get for the outfield (maybe package someone else). I agree about starting Kearns in the outfield and while your pitching might not be stellar, I wouldn't call it bad. You didn't get what I would call a top starter, but you have a solid core of upper second tier guys. Isringhausen might not start the season, and he is your only closer, so I would try to pick up another. Get rid of Sheets(or at least bench him and drop someone like Peavy or Benson) and try to pick up a decent closer through waivers or trade.
It's time to roll the dice.

Once again, saves don't matter. This is a point based league, so I am trying to get the pitcher who will get me the most amount of points. There are no categories. I dont have to have closers, just the best pitcher available.

Saves don't matter??!?! :-?

Gagne had 50+ saves last year....that's 500 pts. Unit had what...24 wins last year? 240 pts.

I disagree that saves don't count. Is there a maximun # innings for your team? If so, saves could be huge.

i decided to match gagne vs rj in all the league points...

rj last year would have earned the team 939 points, whereas gagne would have taken in 790... but rj is sort of a fantasy freak, i'd like to do an average of the top 10 of each position to have a good gauge on that...

all being said, i'd still i'd want some saves on my team ;)

Saves are easier to come by then wins and they have the same point value, I'm confused why you didn't stack save men.

Trade Chavez and Wood for two big save guys!!!

Yeah in a league where saves are so valuable, you are weak. Nice htting core though.
