Will Javy play this week?

Trying to decide whether or not to start him in my weekly league. I haven't heard much other than he's day to day. Anyone have any scoop?

Manager Lee Mazzilli said he hopes Javy Lopez will return to the lineup on Monday.
Keith Osik has been filling in for Lopez, who has a strained oblique.

Now the question is...will he actually play for most of the week or should I grab Charles Johnson and stick him in there for this week.

Teixeira had the same sort of injury, strained oblique, and look how long he was out for. Nothing to kill a team by a long shot, but it should be a definate consideration in a weekly league of plugging someone else in.

If I had the option to start another Catcher I would. If Javy plays this week, he likely won't play every day and even if he does, his bat may not be up to speed. This type of injury is likely to affect his swing for another week or so.

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to sit Javy. Now to decide whether to play Charles Johnson or Johnny Estrada.

Colorado is on the road this whole week. In the past, Chuck has stunk on the road, but this year his average is 90 pts higher on the road and he's only got one less homer.

Estrada is home this week. He's been hot the past week and is in a decent spot in the lineup to pick up a bunch of RBIs. He does seem to be hitting better on the road though.

Any thoughts?

That's a tougher decision, for sure. I'd go with Estrada at home for three games vs. San Diego. But it's a tough call, Johnson will be in Montreal facing some weak pitching. Either one is a better option than Lopez this week.
