Is Shefield's thumb bothering him?

Postby oscar15 » Sun May 02, 2004 10:04 pm

I noticed he has not had an extra base hit since April 18th. Only one homerun and five doubles in twenty six hits.

Will his numbers be down the rest of the year or is he just off to a slow start?

Opinions?

I believe that thumb of his was bothering him most of last year and.... well... we saw what he did last year. Someone else before made the comment that he's getting way out in front of pitches and just appears to not have his timing down. I'd tend to believe that and wouldn't sweat the thumb.
