Sometimes, teams that aren't constantly in the spotlight can be the best place to look for fantasy talent - at affordable prices. In the latest Point of View article, Patrick Martin takes a look at the Pittsburgh Pirates, and discovers some hidden gems. The Pirates may not contend for a title this year, but similar to the Rays in the AL, the Bucs will be an exciting squad to watch, both on the field and from a fantasy owner's perspective.
Another excellent read from Mookie!
Hmm ... this might make an interesting series. Anybody care to write a similar article focusing on your own home team?
Nice read Mookie .... I think the best thing about the Bucs, is the Future starting staff ... Hopefully this season we can see a few of those arms actually make it up to the show ...
Enjoyed the article very much. Hope the series idea takes off.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
I have written one for the Mets and sent it to Arlo. Haven't heard back yet.

(Incidentally, it's a very well-written, in-depth piece. )
Coordinating is a good idea. The only other team that's already in the works is the Padres. And strangely enough, it's not wrveres who's doing the analyzing ... although an extremely interesting wrveres article of a different nature is coming up soon.
With these and other articles, it looks like we're in for some good reading.
