Mantei owner here, i got a question

should i drop mantei for "valverde" before somebody else picks up valverde?

reason im worried is.....mantei is a good talent, has the formula to be a dominate closer, and if brenley continues to go with him in the 9th, and mantei "finds himself".......he can have a strong finish.

i can't drop anybody else on my roster for valverde other then mantei....so im a lil torn.

as strange as it might sound, I think Mantei will have to blow another couple saves for him to lose the job, keep him until it's for sure he no longer has it.

Honestly, I think Arizona will stay with Mantei for awhile because they want him to pitch well and then trade away his salary. I expect him to turn it around eventually.

I just picked him off the FA list--he cleared waivers--and left Valverde there.

The thing is, if i "wait" for him to officialy lose the job somebody else will grab him.....before there is any announcement...there are guys in my league desperate for closers....so i have to make a move quick.

Should i drop Mantei for betancourt?

I would hang onto Betancourt for a little while at least. I'd drop Valverde before Betancourt, but it would be helpful to see your entire roster.

You could afford to drop him...You have plenty of other closers to compensate for him......
