how's my team look?

Postby redsoxrox » Sun Mar 23, 2003 3:51 pm

ok here's what i got:

C- Paul LoDuca
1B- Adam Dunn
2B- Craig Biggio
3B- Eric Hinske
SS- Rafael Furcal
OF- Albert Pujols
OF- Raul Mondesi
OF- Magglio Ordonez
UTIL- Shannon Stewart

Then my pitching staff:

Curt Schilling
Kazuhisa Ishii
Tim Hudson
Hideo Nomo
Jarrod Washburn
Brad Radke
Ryan Dempster
Josh Beckett
Jose Contreras
Danys Baez
Mike DeJean
Scott Williamson

I'm a little iffy I think at 2B and SS and not too sure about Jose Contreras. Should I drop him or hold on to him and see what develops? Any comments are appreciated!

Good-looking team. It looks as though you went pitcher heavy, which is not at all bad, although not my prefered strategy. A couple HUGE bats in Pujols and Maggs. NICE! Your IF has questions. I think Biggio is pretty much done. A mid-range power/speed guy who doesn't hit HRs anymore, can't swipe and apparently now also can't hit for average? Shaky! Dunn: good, should get better. LoDuca: one of the better options at CA. Hinske: here's hoping he can continue his upward trend. Furcal: why hasn't he nabbed 50 bags in a season yet.....and now ankle trouble? Yikes.....Mondesi: useless Stewart: I don't personally like, but pretty decent in all cats.

Your pitching is very nice. No real weaknesses, although you probably aren't going to like looking at the WHIPs you get from Ishii and Nomo. Contreras: I would wait and see how things shake out, although, from all reports, Weaver looks to be the 5-man in the rotation, so...... Radke: when does he break?

Everything else looks good.....

Rather than trade contreras, with all the hype, u could probably trade him an get some value for him......in one of my leagues i traded contreras and tori hunter for pujols
