"Scouts and executives say Devil Rays LF Carl Crawford, 22, is on the verge of stardom. "He's really coming on," a scout says. "He finally has figured out that he has to be Matty Alou. He doesn't have to hit home runs. His value to the team is to go the other way and run like hell." Crawford, the A.L. stolen base leader in 2003, still has room to grow: The first three times he was caught stealing, he was nabbed on pickoffs. . . ."
He's still young and perfecting his craft when it comes to SB's, he will keep getting better though.
