This guy is far and away the best reliever that's not a closer.

10 apperances 12.2 innings 8 hits 0.00 ERA 19K's 3 bb's

He's on wire. I'm in a head to head league.

Does anybody have him and consider him worth picking up
for ERA and WHIP despite not getting any saves.......

He's been working on a new curveball to compliment his mid-90's fastball and nasty slider.

At worst, his stats will be 80IP, 3.00ERA, 1.00WHIP, 100Ks. AT WORST!

If you think that can help you team, grab him!

Don't forget about the wins; he gets them somehow (today, for example).
Last year he had 8 wins in 80-something IP. A good starter will have 15 wins in 200+ IP. Pretty economical.
He will also get the ocassional save.

Great for ERA, WHIP, K and good for wins and the occasional save=great guy to pick up. Plus, if/when Percival goes down, look for him to get the nod...

Is there a chance of this guy starting or closing? He seems really good!

Hmm. I'm in last place in Ks, ERA, and WHIP. Maybe I should trade a shoddy closer for K-Rod. Koch? Biddle? (I have Izzy, Percival, Valverde, Nathan, Biddle, and Koch).

I'd love to have a guy that I can count on that won't balloon my ERA and WHIP, plus give me solid K totals for a middle reliever.

If Percival gets hurt then he immediately takes over. Near the end of the season they will probably give him a handfull of save chances as well as they are probably not going to re-sign Percival and allow K-Rod to take over next year.

I certainly hope not!! K-Rod has almost singlehandedly been guaranteeing me the win in the holds category every week since the start of the season!!!

yeah if you have holds, He is the best, He is a closer in waiting, who right now is SO valuable to the halo's as theri premier setup man.

It reminds me of years ago when yanks had Mariano & Wetteland. that was it after 6 innings the game was over, they'd go Mo Rivera for 7-8 & Wetteland for the 9th.

Krod who already has a ring & post season experience could very well be the next Mo Rivera

I like K-Rod a bunch but Donnelly will steal holds from him when he comes back. K-Rod is in a great holds situation now because the Angels have no other choice for a setup man. Brendan Donnelly was MLB's best hold man last year - it will interesting to see how Scoiscia handles this situation.
