Kolb injured?

There is an injury forum, but I'll help you all out here! :-)

I was watching the game. Kolb threw a pitch that was way high and away and came up lame. He was holding the back of his right leg in the hamstring area. After being talked to and looked at, he came out of the game and was replaced by Vizcaino.

if he pulled it he should have been noticeably limping when he walked off the field. Was he??

Read this on Yahoo's box score notes:

"Brewers closer Dan Kolb retired the first batter he faced in the ninth, but was replaced by Luis Vizcaino when he pulled his right hamstring after establishinga 3-1 count on Tike Redman."

Not good for Kolb owners...luckily not me.

What's worse pulled or strained?

Pulled...but torn is even worse than pulled. So at least it wasn't torn.

pulled - anyone know the typical length of time out for a pull and/or a strain of the hamstring?

That all depends....see Jose Reyes. It can be just a few days, or it can be months. I think typically, it's a few weeks, like Chipper.

would you drop Valverde for Vizcaino now if you were desperate for saves?
