Who is in the lead in the TB closer race? Carter, or Colome? What are the chances of German beating out Anderson in Detroit? How is Looper pitching this spring, any chance of Spooneybarger taking the job?Is Eischen the man in Montreal?I had heard Mesa may be done in Philly if so who closes? How about Milwaukee? Any spring insight would be greatly appreciated! :-?

Sorry, I can't answer all of these, but being from Philly I know that Mesa is definitely the closer. There is no talk of anyone else, at least for this year. Looper is also definitely the closer in FL, although Spooneybarger is being groomed for the position in the future. Hope this helps......

Colome is currently winning the closer job in Tampa, i predict German beating out Anderson for the closer job in the near future, Looper I don't really know much about, but I see him splitting saves with Nunez, and Mesa is still a stud closer.

Mesa is not a stud closer anymore. He is still effective and the best closer that the Phillies have. This being said, it would not surprise me if he feel on his face this year.
