Well I'm in a 7 owner yahoo points league and I'm wondering who you guys think I should trade in order to get a power upgrade. Thanks!

improve pitching

I think you could do better with your SP depth in a 7 team league. You could afford to drop Counsell and or Catal. and pick up a few possible SP sleepers.

Dude, you have plenty of power. Pujols, Tejada, Soriano, Sheffield, Jones, et al. You have the guys who can push it. You need more pitching depth. You have way too many batters sitting on your bench who are going to do you no good, whatsoever. I would look to move some of your excess hitting for a couple starters. I was in an eight-team league last year, and I had a better top to bottom line-up than you and I had a much better pitching staff......You NEED to parlay some of those batters into pitchers....

Thanks guys, I ditched Counsell and Catalanotto for Lackey and Santana. I'm planning on dumping (or trading) Bell and maybe one other guy on my bench and if I don't pick up a starter in a deal, getting Lilly or Oliver Perez? Any insight there?

Almost every single one of those guys on your bench should have value, to some degree or other. Nice pick-ups, by the way, and I would certainly try to get Lilly, if the price is right. The change of address can only help his career and I expect a nice fantasy season out of him. Oliver Perez could be decent, but I honestly don't know that much about him. I did not have him in any leagues last year or this year.

p.s. You definately chose the right guys to drop.....

One last question

Postby Conq » Mon Mar 24, 2003 6:09 pm

One last question :). I have too many catchers IMO and I'd really like to get Lilly. So my question is should I get rid of either Liberthal or Hall (if at all)? I'm leaning towards Hall.
Thanks again!
