I'm thinking this might hurt my team's ERA. <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif> Also making me look like a fool after the rampage I went on when a trade having me sending Willis to another team got vetoed, all the praise I gave the kid.

lol, I love it....the leader of my main league has him and he has 9's in both WHIP and ERA. This should drop them down a little bit ;-D

I wonder if the D Train has ever played the OF or 1st base. If he has I would play him everyday and use him as a closer.

Well he's hitting better than anyone in Florida's lineup. He looks like the next Brooks Kieschnick. Use him for a few innings one day, and use him as a pinch hitter the next day.

If not for the fact that it would be extremely embarassing for the other hitters, Dontrelle would probably not be last in the lineup. But I guess for games where he gets taken out early (such as: after 1 IP) you'd be stuck with relief pitchers hitting in the middle of the order. But it'd be something if your pitcher was in the top half of the lineup :-D

True, Dontrelle was not very good today, but he got very unlucky. The first batter of the 7 run second inning popped foul to third, but the ball was dropped: one out that should have been made. The fourth batter, Dallimore, hit a fly ball to deep left, and it bounced off the left fielder's glove and over the fence for a grand slam: another out that should have been recorded. If not for those two dropped balls, there would have been 2 runners on, no runners in, and 2 outs when the 5th hitter of the inning came up. The rally then would not have lasted that long, and D-Train probably would have been able to settle down and pitch well over the next few innings. He should have ended up with 4 runs allowed in 6 innings, not 9 runs allowed in 1 inning.
