True, Dontrelle was not very good today, but he got very unlucky. The first batter of the 7 run second inning popped foul to third, but the ball was dropped: one out that should have been made. The fourth batter, Dallimore, hit a fly ball to deep left, and it bounced off the left fielder's glove and over the fence for a grand slam: another out that should have been recorded. If not for those two dropped balls, there would have been 2 runners on, no runners in, and 2 outs when the 5th hitter of the inning came up. The rally then would not have lasted that long, and D-Train probably would have been able to settle down and pitch well over the next few innings. He should have ended up with 4 runs allowed in 6 innings, not 9 runs allowed in 1 inning.
