Orioles place Segui on DL

Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Orioles Friday placed first baseman/designated hitter David Segui on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in his left knee. The move is retroactive to April 25.

The 37-year-old Segui is batting .298 with one homer and seven RBI in 13 games this season.

To replace Segui on the roster, the Orioles called up outfielder Darnell McDonald from Triple-A Ottawa.

I heard that it is unlikely that he will be placed on the DL, and should be back in a few days or so.
