Favorite Indian of All Time

Postby Captain Jack Sparrow » Fri Apr 30, 2004 4:36 pm

I grew up in Northeast Ohio and loved cheering for the tribe. Just wondered who your favorite players are?

I gotta vote for three. The outfield combo of Bret Butler, Joe Carter, and Cory Snyder. I wanted to be them so badly! Obviously that team wasn't as successful as the 90's teams, but it will always be my favorite.

Omar Vizquel, Cory Snyder, and Brian Giles.

Cory Snyder was part of my growing up years. I still have a Cory Snyder poster on my wall to this day :-D .

I know Giles didn't have any years with the indians like he did with the pirates, but I still follow and root for him.

Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

Hands down Cory Snyder... Do you remember how far he could throw the ball.

But, Pat Tabler was up there as well.

Yea too bad Cory never lived up to his potential. I also was a big fan of Charlie Spikes.

Bob Feller. Closely followed by Omar.

I've met Mr. Feller and got some pictures taken with him and a few autographs. I wonder how much better his numbers would have been had he not volunteered to serve in WWII.

I see Omar coaching in the Indians minor-league system at some point.

Omar - without a doubt - he was AWESOME at SS...

I wish he could have ended his career with the Tribe...oh, well....

Maybe in the future we'll bring him back - maybe he can be the next Julio Franco playing until he's 75... ;-)
