Does Vernon Wells have a clue @ the plate?

Wells, for some reason, thought that being 240 with 8% body fat wasn't healthy enough, so he dropped 20 lbs of muscle.

Oops.

He won't be this year's Pat Burrell (that honor goes to Aubrey Huff), but he will probably do what Richard Hidalgo did after his breakout year--turn into a career mediocrity who can only hit mistake pitches.

I read somewhere (sorry forgot where) that Vernon Wells has lost some weight since last season. That has, in turn, led to speculation that he may be coming off steroid use. I don't believe a word of it but he is obviously having a really bad season so far for people to start thinking that.

wells wasnt using steroids, im on the same training program that he was on before the 03 season and thats what gave him the great power etc.

Ryn....if you can jack 30 I'm picking you up!! :-D
