The guy's name is Mark Verstegan, he trained wells b4 the 2003 season at his training centre in AZ called Athletes Performance. The guy is a world class trainer specialising in core strength, flexibity and that kind of training. He does a bit of name dropping in the book he just put out, as he trained wells in 03 and nomar is a constant client of his every year. I heard an interview with him on espn one day and he was listing a whole bunch of MLB players that went to him this offseason for training, and the only 2 i could remember were guererro (he was gonna mash anyway) and the other was Jermaine Dye. Dye trained with him all offseason and started doing all the core workouts and all that, and it looks like he has gotten soo much more power this year as a result. After hearing the interview, i was sold on this guy and i guess the interview was a promotion for the book he was putting out, but it sold me none the less. I have the book and have been sticking to this program and it is harder than any program ive ever been on, but i can feel myself getting physically stronger - and it is already showing in my swing during batting practice. He was saying in the interview how the methods of training they use enable guys to have that great power without the use of substances, and really, Wells in 03, Nomar every year (and he really isnt a big guy), and Dye this year have been mashing/mashed the ball. Seriously guys, i study human movements at uni and have done countless numbers of programs, but this one is by far the best - and there are some big time names out there to prove it. check it out!
god i jus read back over that....how much do i sound like im his promotions officer!!!
