the yankees have no prospects. George drained the system dry during the last 8 years...kinda like like the late 1970's- early 1980's...

almost true, they do have one pretty good prospect in Navarro though. One of the top catching prospects in the minors along w/ Mathis and Quiroz.

NY was not in the series in 2002 so they did not lose three in a row. Just a clarification, sorry

correction, that would be 2 WS, leaving us w/ a record of 4-2 in WS in that time span. Besides, you gotta get there first to have a chance to win it.

i know i'm just saying that because they don't have minor league talent he may just substitue those minor leaguers with some extra $$ for milwakee to use to rebuild.

I'd hope Sheets stays put. Brewers are putting up a bunch of runs and NY's not easy to play in.

I stand corrected. 2 World Series and an ALCS in the last three years to teams with SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER PAYROLLS. Thanks for the clarification. ;-D

Actually, you're wrong again. The Yankees lost in the division series in '02. But maybe the point you're trying to make is that people should stop complaining about the Yankees' high payroll because other teams have proven that you can win with a cheaper team. Anyway, I'm a happy fan. My team's been to the playoffs 9 years in a row, been to 6 World Series and won 4 of them. Hard to imagine it getting much better than this.

I stand corrected again. But I'm happy that you get my point. I guess we're both happy, because when you can spend that much $$ and not win every time I've got to believe that there is justice in this world.
