ESPN reported that Sheets is being mentioned in trade rumors with the Yankees. Anybody hear more?

I wouldn't take the trade rumor seriously, they have nothing good to offer for Sheets.

actually the only guy that could be a significant trade bait is Navarro, the Yankees catcher prospect who i think is in AA right now

yep and the yankees won't trade him, they'd have to get something better then sheets.

the yankees have no prospects. George drained the system dry during the last 8 years...kinda like like the late 1970's- early 1980's...

I would LOVE for that trade to happen. We'd be getting a good young pitcher to go with Vazquez for years to come (plus I own Sheets :) ). I don't think Navarro is giving up too much either.

The Sporting News had an article that says a writer started this rumor by asking the MIL front office if they would trade Sheets and that no one from NYY has actually called MIL yet. But the MIL GM says he isnt interested at the moment. Would be great for my fantasy team though.
