Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)

actually the only guy that could be a significant trade bait is Navarro, the Yankees catcher prospect who i think is in AA right now

the yankees have no prospects. George drained the system dry during the last 8 years...kinda like like the late 1970's- early 1980's...

I would LOVE for that trade to happen. We'd be getting a good young pitcher to go with Vazquez for years to come (plus I own Sheets

). I don't think Navarro is giving up too much either.

The Sporting News had an article that says a writer started this rumor by asking the MIL front office if they would trade Sheets and that no one from NYY has actually called MIL yet. But the MIL GM says he isnt interested at the moment. Would be great for my fantasy team though.

Kind of, but with an important difference ... 9 straight years in the playoffs.

And losing 3 straight World Series to teams with significantly lower payrolls.
