What is Cordero Worth? Is Hoffman better??

Postby Madbomber » Thu Apr 29, 2004 12:07 am

I want to get a fourth closer- I have Gagne Mesa and Joe B. A person in my League has MacDougal, Hoffman, Cordero, Koch.

Who is better Hoffman or Cordero? Would you accept Padilla and Hunter for either of them. Holla Back. :-? :-?

I like Cordero and his K's to innings. He is playing on a young team that is currently in first place and he has been mostly lights out. Hoffman is still going to get saves, but his K's will be less and is coming off of a major injury last year.

I like Cordero quite a bit, and it's clear that Hoffman is fine once again. Either one is a good addition. If it were me, there's no way I'd take Padilla straight up for either guy. Nothing wrong with Vicente, but I'd rather have the solid closer. I guess it's basically the same view for Hunter, although if I needed OF help, it's a deal I'd take.

Hoffman still has a 40% tear in his rotator cuff. There were a few threads about it in the offseason and it's something that won't just heal naturally. With that said, I'd rather have Cordero. Padilla and Hunter for Cordero? It would depend on my team, hard to say, but probably not.
