Barry Bonds just got intentionally walked for the 500th time in his career. Although I am a Giants fan and biased in some eyes, I think he is one of the most feared hitters of all time, this stat being one of the most important considerations. When looking at different stats, Ruth seems to have the edge in alot of categories but there are so many considerations about the ages in which these two played, its hard to compare.
There will never be a consensus for the greatest player of all time... but I would like to hear people's opinions on feared hitters and why.
Note: I am not trying to start or hear discussions on steroids (although I will agree it is a consideration in todays age). In America, especially in SF, you are innocent until proven guilty.
