New York, NY (Sports Network) - Chicago Cubs manager Dusty Baker and starting pitcher Kerry Wood have each been disciplined for their conduct during the Cubs-Cincinnati Reds games in Chicago on April 16 and April 17, 2004, respectively.
Baker has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his argument with home plate umpire C.B. Bucknor over a batting out of order call during the bottom of the seventh inning in an April 16th win versus the Reds.
Wood has been suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount for his argument with then home plate umpire Eric Cooper during the top of the ninth inning of an April 17 loss to Cincinnati.
Baker is expected to miss Wednesday night's game in Arizona against the Diamondbacks. Wood can appeal his suspension.
