Closer Strategy - Move One Now?

Postby Steve Kemp » Wed Apr 28, 2004 4:25 pm

In a 10 team 5X5 roto ML league

I have Gagne, Kolb and Chacon as closers, but i need a strong starter to compliment my SP. Would it be wise to move one closer, not Gagne, to get a top flight starter like KBrown to help with W, WHIP, ERA, etc? I like to shoot for 100 saves, so I'll have 80 or so in hand and would have to trade down the road to grab another closer, but.....

Thoughts?

Except for Gagne, Kolb and Chacon are mediocre at best (especially Chacon) There is absolutely no chance you can get someone like Brown for them. Of course if you could pull off Chacon and a good hitter for a solid pitcher I would definetly do it.

Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

You need some better RP. Check your waivers list. i was surpirsed to pick up Danny Graves and he's kickin butt. Keep Gagne though and possibly Kolbe, but i did end up dropping him because i'm not a big fan of him.
