(Sports Network) - The Minnesota Twins play the rubber match of their three- game series against the Toronto Blue Jays tonight at the Metrodome.
The Twins handed the Blue Jays a 7-4 loss last night after dropping the series opener on Monday.
On Tuesday, Jacque Jones hit a three-run homer during a four-run ninth inning to help Minnesota rally for the win. Jones ended 3-for-5 with two runs scored while Torii Hunter and Lew Ford each drove in two runs for the Twins, who have won four of their last six games.
In the ninth Toronto led 4-3 and Justin Speier tried to earn the save. Hunter smacked an RBI single to tie the contest at 4-4. Jones then followed with a three-run homer to deep left field to win the game for Minnesota.
The blast made a winner out of Juan Rincon (3-0), who threw two scoreless innings. Speier (1-2) was the loser after permitting four runs on four hits over just two-thirds of an inning.
Kyle Lohse will take the mound for the Twins this evening after posting a no decision in last Friday's win over Kansas City. He allowed five runs and nine hits in 5 2/3 innings of work.
The 25-year-old righthander has been struggling this season and is 1-2 with a 7.68 earned run average. Opponents are also hitting .341 against Lohse this season.
Lohse has three career starts against the Blue Jays and is 0-2 with a 4.76 ERA.
The Twins and Blue Jays split six meetings last season, but Minnesota has won 10 of the last 11 in the series.
