Championship team?

C Pudge
1B Phil Nevin
2B Kent
SS Kaz Matsui
3B Aramis Ramirez
OF Vlad
OF Bob Abreu
OF Crawford
BN Dye
BN Dunn
BN Baldelli

SP Pedro
SP Hudson
SP Zito
SP Beckett
SP Peavy
RP Isringhausen
RP Kolb
RP Nathan
BN Marquis [O. Perez if I manage to pick him off waivers]

My team's pretty decent, but quite a number of slumps thus far, notably Abreu, Baldelli and to a lesser extent Kaz and Zito.

What I want to know is if there is a possibility they will pick up in time to help carry my team to a championship, or should I trade them to strengthen my team in other positions... I'm currently joint lead with .750 winning percentage, but its still early, and if their slump goes on, I might lose out to 2 other pretty strong teams in my league.
Thanks!

solid

That team is solid. Your pitching numbers are going to get better too with Oakland's aces not performing as well as they will.

You're in the lead, so I wouldn't worry about their slumps. You might lose the lead but it's too early to really be a bad thing and once they get to normal production you'll gain it back. If you were in the bottom half of your league then I think it would be a problem.

Advice on my team to please

pitching

your pitching will determine whether or not you can win, I think Peavy will be a big boost, but you may need to trade for a better closer. see if you can trade for graves or herges for some cheap.

FA pickups?

Postby Mjollnir » Sat May 08, 2004 1:57 am

Some guy got impatient and dropped Preston Wilson on waivers, I'm trying to pick him up for Burnitz...

Should I trade Nevin at first for Teixeira or Kevin Millar? Or should I not trade him at all?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I'd drop Overbay and Burnitz and pick up Nevin and Tex.
