Please, someone give the scouting report on the kid. Let me know when he is expected to be in the bigs and what type of future he could have.

Hes considered the minors best long term pitching prospect. Hes only 18 however, and hasnt pitched above rookie league yet. He will pitch in high A this yaer, but could rise fast. He was drafted 15th in 02, but was drafts best talent. He has a mid 90s fastball, slider, changeup, curve. His mechanics and command are remarkable for a guy his age. The only concern is his size, 170 lbs. Some think if he doesnt stay a sp, hes a Billy Wagner type pitcher for a closer.

This guy is supposed to be awesome. I just moved to PA from Binghamton, NY - and the only thing I regret about the decision is that I won't egt to see him pitch this year!

I agree - Kazmir's potential is huge, but it's still very, very early to judge him...

Kazmir probably won't be ready until at least 2005, especially the way the Mets won't use minor leaguers until they are absolutely ready.

Kazmir has been heralded by many as the best lefty they've seen since Rink Ankiel (before he went crazy). His stuff is supposed to be electric. The Mets' announcers rave about him and his mindset on the mound. As long as he stays healthy, he's supposed to be a real deal legit ace (not one of those minor leaguers that a team pumps up and then trades away, laughing at the other team).

havent seen him throw yet....not many people have.....he only had a few starts in A ball....and if the mets learned anything from wilson/isringhausen/pulsipher....it's DONT RUSH GUYS!!!!!!

for god's sake they're starting reyes in AAA this year.....don't count on kaz until 2005
