yep, with the off day they had yesterday, he will start today. Its only a question if he will be in the OF or a DH.

I think people are reading too much into the knee issue - he can just DH more now. With Salmon back in the lineup as a lifelong RF, the Angels will be fine. We might have to consider Vlad a 150-game player, with every other Sunday off. I had Bonds a few years ago and planned on him taking Sundays off; Vlad might be in the same boat.

vlad looks a little pudgy and a little limpy this year, nor has he even attempted a steal. that said, i wouldn't be surprised to see him get days off here and there, maybe once every week or two, just to coddle him a little bit before the stretch run where he will be needed.

he's also off to a slow start so i think it's a good time to trade for him. .288/5/12 isn't exactly leaving the earth in terms of amazing fantasy #s, so like, if you can get him for cheap, go for it.

be sure to mention that he's fat and hobbling to your potential trade partner too =P
