Does Beckett Have More Value Than Mulder?

I think Tongue put it better than me. Everyone is hitting on Florida and no one is hitting on Oakland, but Oakland is still outscoring them (albeit it by 1 run in the AL). My point is, I believe that Florida pitchers are now going to get the run support enough for them to really put up big win totals. Willis, however, may be the exception. It seems like they score runs like mad for the guy.

Mulder's got more value, simply because he's more proven. This is coming from somebody who drafted Beckett in nearly all of his leagues, too.

About the Marlins' offense...I don't know.

They lost:
Lee
Pudge
Encarnacion (very overrated, check out his OPS numbers)

Cabrera's playing fulltime, which helps a lot, actually.
Choi's in there for Lee now

I certainly wouldn't expect it to be better, but the dropoff won't be that big.

What do y'all see from Benitez for the rest of the year, speaking of the Marlins? I mean...10 opportunities in one month. I know the Marlins are going to play close games, but are the opps going to come crashing down to earth? I also don't want to sell high and end up regretting it.

Mulder "should" get - 17-20Wins 3.05ERA 1.10WHIP 160K

Beckett "Could" get - 15-17Wins 3.20ERA 1.15WHIP 250K

Does 3 to 4 wins make up for 90-100Ks? Beckett might even get 20 if Cabrera and Lowell stay consistent.....

Beckett 15-11, 226 K's, 3.13 ERA, and a 1.20 WHIP

Mulder 18-11, 144 K's, 3.25 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP

The value for both -- $29.

Mulder's the safer bet, but if Beckett can get his win total up then it would be Beckett. Great question and very good responses, fellas.
