Rate these Kearns-replacements: Mench, Gerut, Bautista

Those are the available RFs I have to chose from (we have OF specific eligibility rules). I'm going with the order that I listed them in. Even though Bautista is playing the best so far, he's given me the least reason to believe he's capable of keeping it up for a whole season, based on career numbers.

P.S. Kearns = J.D. Drew; a 6 or so week stretch of eye popping numbers, then nothing but a fantasy tease thereafter . . .

I like Batista. The were taliking during the game last night how he has shed some extra pounds and improved his flexibility to try and avoid the minor injuries that have plagued him. He really hasn't been healthy in two years.
Add to that that he will be batting in the #5 spot behing Gonzo and Sexson.

Bautista, I dropped Kearns for him the morning before the injury. Why not go for the hot guy as your 3rd or 4th OF?

I really am liking what Gerut is doing. He has medium power and above average stolen base potential. He's also got nothing to lose in a no pressure situation in Cleveland. I am looking for 25-25 out of Gerut this year, where do you think that would put him in the rankings?

I dropped kearns for Mench. He's hot as it is right now, and I think he'll hit .280 with 28 homeruns/90rbi if he can stay healthy. He plays in the best hitter's park and this is a guy who hit for big power and average in the minors.

Gerut was never known for power, and I dont see him outplaying Mench in his sophomore year except for stolen bases

I dunno about bautista, hes never played more than 300 at bats in a season and theirs probably a reason why. He's playing above his ability right now.

what about nix? is he out there? looks like he's going to get more playing time, the way he's been knocking it around.

I didn't name Nix because I need RF eligible players, but normally yeah I'd put him up there to as a candidate too
