Catchers Suck: Pierzynski or Toby

Postby rowedawgg » Fri Mar 21, 2003 2:34 am

I have AJ Pierzynski, and no bench spots. Someone dropped Toby Hall! Do I dump Pierzynski and his sure thing .300 Average for Hall's potential? My other options are holding both but dropping Jay Payton, Carl Crawford or Duckworth..

Which of the two would you take???

Also, If i had Hall, I would have THREE Devil Ray batters (hall, huff, crawford.) UGH! :-P

I would drop Crawford and pick up Hall. Drop one Ray for Another, and you will avoid having too many. Plus with having both catchers you could take a chance on Hall and not get burned if he has a bad year.

I'd pick up Hall. If you look at the second half of last season, Hall blows A.J. away completely.

I'd go with Hall also.

Here's the reasoning:

Hall is scheduled to bat either 3rd, 4th or 5th in the lineup. Granted, it's the Devil Rays, but it still means that he's batting in that spot and should get a solid amount of opportunities.

What's a Duckworth? Not much.

Drop Brandon and keep BOTH Hall and AJ - they are both going to break out this or next year and you could have two of the top 5 catcher available.
