Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Cincinnati Reds outfielder Austin Kearns left Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates after being hit in the left wrist by a pitch.
Kearns was hit on the wrist by a pitch from Pirates' starting pitcher Ryan Vogelsong in the second inning. He didn't leave the game until the Reds took the field in the bottom of the inning.
Ryan Freel replaced Kearns in right field.
Kearns is batting just .137 this season and is marred in a 2-for-23 slump. He has two homers, five RBI and seven runs scored.
