What players are you keeping an eye on as they are getting close to not only making the proteam but making a fantasy impact?
Mine are
Justin Morneau - being a twins fan - we need power bad - we need to trade Jones for a RP and put Ford in full time - trade LeCroy to a Softball team for pocket lint - and start Morneau at DH - probably has a slim chance of coming up soon as his glove sucks but when he does i plan on having him
Val Pasccuci - looks like he might be brought up soon to try and bolster that horrible offense in Montreal. He's batting 338 in 17 games and near the top of the league in all power numbers.
Pickering - I know they are minor league stats but DAMN - hope they find a spot for him or trade him ASAP
Alex Rios - looks like he's ready and how long can a struggling offense that has to compete with the elite teams O's in the east start Reen Johnson and Catalanto?? I'll be the first one on the bandwago when he comes up
What are some toher guys everyone else is keeping an eye on and ready to punce on in deeper leagues or even taking a large chance on in smaller leagues for impact soon - like who out of the Uptons, Delmons, Hairstons, Grienkes, Floyds, weeks are you keeping an extra eye on
David DeJesus: He doesn't have much speed, but he can hit a ton.
Termel Sledge: If the Expos ever give him a chance, I think he's good for at least 25 HRs
I never smile if I can help it.... Showing one's teeth is a submission signal in primates. When someone smiles at me, all I see is a chimpanzee begging for its life.
Peavy must of read my post - walked him on four pitches in his first major league AB - talk about frustrating going up there all pumped up and not seeing a strike - probabbly can pat ol' Valentino on the back for not chasing one in excitement

I heard he has a lot of speed. Some are predicting 25 steals.
hes my sleeper for next year. Hes the replacement for whne carlos belt leaves after this year. Ive seen some scoutign reports and they say that hes compared to the guy n front of him carlos belt but less power. Ive also seen another and i tend to think is pretty accurate that he haves bobby abreu type potential.
Morneau...born to DH, and can't run a lick. But a sweet swing, quick hands, and emerging power. Good prospect.
Pascucci...elaborated on him in another thread, and compared him to Jack Cust. Not interested.
Pickering...the Quad-A poster boy, except they don't make posters that big. Has a better chance of succeeding as an offensive guard.
Rios...If his power continues to grow, he's a huge prospect. Looks like he can hit for average at any level. Real nice prospect!
DeJesus...Went berserk in the 'Zona fall league, displaying power that sure hadn't been seen previously. Not nearly the speed guy some are making him out to be. Has had a lot of injury issues already. Overhyped prospect who I project as an average big leaguer at best.
