I couldn't be happier with how he has pitched so far. I and many others thought Perez would have another struggle like last year with a team that can't score runs. So far he's shown very little wildness, and the Pirates are actually getting a lot of hits (but still not producing enough with RISP). If this keeps us, Mac better make him the fourth starter and make Fogg the guy they use sparingly.

It's early yet, but it was really awesome how Mac let him stay out for the whole game. That could boost his confidence for the whole season, especially when it gets a little warmer and the hitters start to hit a little better.
