Olerud last year put up good numbers, .300 avg, 22 hr, 100 RBI. I picked him up in like the 10th round in a 14 team league. Am I missing something, how come nobody wanted him?

Why the hillbilly would you drop Looper over Villefuerte? Padres have bad offence, horrible starting pitching.

Drop Villefuerte over Looper, if you want. But frankly, Looper didn't prove anything to me last season. I hope he puts it together. But don't forget that the guy was so bad that he lost the closer's job to Nunez, only to gain it back later. But whatever, just pick up Olerud. The dude is too good to be on the WW. And you could dump any number of people on your team and still be coming out ahead, period.

That said, I disagree whole-heartedly with the statement that the Padres have horrible starting pitching!! To the contrary, Lawrence, Eaton, Perez, and Peavy are four of the best young arms in baseball. The latter two might be a year away from making a big impact. But that staff has all the makings of being awesome. The just need some maturity & some help from the Padres' offense.

So why in the hillbilly anybody would anybody call the Pads' staff horrible?

Take Olerud. Drop Villafurte over Looper. IMO - dump Stewart.
