Kenny Lofton? What do you think?

Postby Andy1234 » Thu Mar 20, 2003 4:37 pm

Just curious if you think he could put up decent numbers for the Pirates this year. Anyone Want to post their projections, for Avg-SB-HR-RBI-Runs for Lofton?

I think he will hit around .260 with 15 SB. As for power numbers he will hit around 10 HR-55 RBI-90 Runs. This is just one prediction, What do you think?

he will have alot more sb, becuase of his manager. The giants didn't want him to run cause of Dusty Baker, but now that Kenny is with a new team, he will have alot more sb and have a higher run count. He will bat leadoff!!!

kenny had a good first half with the whitesox, shoot, maybe a first good few months. i rode kenny early last season and he got to 20SB remarkably quick, the talk was that the old kenny lofton was back and rah rah rah.

then he tailed off, the sox went back to a .500 club, and he ended up in san fran.

i bet that kenny has 15 steals by the end of may, but no more than like 35 total for the whole season, and thats a pretty good year for an old man like that :)

To me, Kenny Lofton has always seemed like a player who plays hard for a contender but mails it in if the teams out of the race. Pittsburgh hasn't been in the race since 92. I don't expect Lofton to put up numbers worth drafting except in the very deepest leagues.

.265 AVG, 12 HR, 65 RBI, 102 R, 25 SB

Not bad - I think he has something to prove - I like him as a late pick. Should go fairly cheap.

in a 12 team or more i think he deserves a spot on your roster.

.260 avg., 10-11 HR's, 65 rbi, 35-38 sb's, 80 runs.

i have him on my 12 team league. last year IMO he was lookin pretty good.
