SYRACUSE SKYCHIEFS - After winning three straight contests the SkyChiefs have hit a bit of a dry spell with four consecutive setbacks. With the recent slide the team has fallen under .500 on the season at 8-10 and are now three games back of Rochester for first place in the International League's North Division. Despite the team's recent struggles, IF Simon Pond continues to play solid ball. RHP David Bush dropped to an even 2-2 following a 4-2 loss to Pawtucket on April 24th. In that contest, he went 5 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on six hits, raising his ERA to 4.63 on the season.

NEW HAMPSHIRE FISHER CATS - The Fisher Cats were dropped in the first two games of their three game set with Erie this past weekend, with the final game of the series being postponed because of rain. The squad has lost three straight games overall and now stands 1 1/2 games back of Binghamton for first place in the Eastern League's Northern Division standings at 7-6. The Fisher Cats managed just four runs in their shortened two game series with Erie, while allowing 11. IF John-Ford Griffin had a rough series, going 0-for-7 with four strikeouts. He is now batting just .182 this season with 16 strikeouts in 33 plate appearances. IF Dominic Rich, who is batting a solid .340 this season, went 2-for-8 with a triple and a RBI in the two game set. As for Lee, he went five strong innings allowing two earned runs on five hits, but he received no run support in a 4-0 setback to Erie on April 24th.

DUNEDIN BLUE JAYS - After a fast start to the season, the Blue Jays have hit a bit of a bump in the road with two straight losses and six in their last seven games. Over the last four games, IF Scott Dragicevich has stepped up his game, going 5-for-11 with two doubles and an RBI. However, the team's leading hitter (.339) on the season, IF Vito Chiaravalloti struggled a bit over the last four contests with a .250 batting average and no extra base hits.
