Wondering if anyone has info on Zito's recent ineffectiveness. I am not worried about him, after all Zito Is God, but I would like to see him go back to dominating. The A's offense didn't help him last year so will the same thing happen again this year?

his fairly steady decline in K/IP should mean that you are not expecting any big help in that dept and like madison said the a's offense (outside of super slugger jermaine dye and evidently overpaid eric chavez) doesn't seem willing to produce enough run support for many wins but he should still be a very steady WHIP and ERA guy.

Zito's numbers have gone done steadily the last three years. He's still a good pitcher but I'd take Mulder or Hudson anyday.

yeah i just can't say that barry zito is a venerable god of fantasy baseball. he had a great year in 02, for which i had him, but he didnt strike me as a long-time unhittable machine of a pitcher, and it seems like he's on a decent little decline to mediocritysville.
