How is this team...

Postby scottpt99 » Thu Mar 20, 2003 12:43 pm

I just finished drafting an 8 team league. It is H2H with the categories of R, HR, RBI, SB, BB, AVG, SLG, W, CG, S, K, ERA, WHIP, and K/BB. We had three keepers from last year mine were Arod, Rolen, and Oswalt, finished second so I had the 7th pick it was not snake draft so it was 1-8, 1-8, ect.
One player from each position and one Utl.
10 pitchers starters or relivers.
So here is my team

C-- Hall
1B--Delgado
2B--Castillo
SS--Arod
3B--Rolen
OF--Beltran
OF--Green
OF--Wilson
Utl--Thomas
Bench Damon
Bench Wilkerson(probably will drop for bellhorn, available at 1b, 2b, and 3b) was thinking for H2H he could be a good player cuz he can play numerous postions. thoughts on that??

Pitchers Smoltz, Rivera, Dotel, Oswalt, Halladay, Miller, Burnett, Beckett, Clement, Russ Ortiz, Fossum , Garland, Dessens, Lackey

I like my team, pitchers could make or break me, have some chancy ones there but we will see. Thoughts on my team please, and thanks.

dude, your team is stacked. i wouldn't worry. on paper you should have the title easy. questions are arod's shoulder and m. rivera's arm. if they are ok you should crush everyone.

get bellhorn. wilkerson isn't much. dotel might be a drop candidate also. he's a setup man for wagner

No way do you drop Dotel. He has one of the highest K/IP ratios in the league and should get you 5-6 wins, 5-6 saves and 120+ Ks with a sub 3 ERA. I'd take that.

I would drop Wilkerson for Bellhorn like you said. Depending on how slow Frank starts out, Damon is a great option off the bench.
