Man, I have to quit playing these pick-me-up pitchers. I thought Acevedo would be a sure thing today

It is raining out and he had to wait like 3 extra hours to pitch....... He has 8Ks in 6IP and could pitch the 7th..... All of the runs are from HRs. I wouldnt worry too much about it.......

Yeah, I'm not terribly worried about this one either. It could have been worse, you could have started Ponson. Acevedo isn't erratic, and he still has his stuff, I think he's just had some tough luck today.

This happened to Dontrelle last year a few times I think.....you warm up and get ready, then the game is delayed and you come out cold hours later. I wouldn't worry about it, but it sucks for those who had him starting today (myself included)

I agree. I don't take this as a bad start if you're looking at the big picture. His control and Ks were not a problem today. Sometimes hitters just do what they're paid to do. Luckily as I said in another post, I had Perez going today as well which evened out the ERA to make Acevedo's Ks almost worth the start. I like what I see in Acevedo so far and will continue to start him in reasonably good matchups.

well sometimes to get that diamond in ther rough, you have to take this type of thing.
Hell schilling hurt me the other day too.
I think he will be good. He did beat some good teams earlier. he got his k's today and the weather was bad.
