Jake WESTBROOK--for real?

Postby mgoody6634 » Sun Apr 25, 2004 4:08 pm

pitched a complete game today, throwin only 100 pitches...granted it was against the tigers, but he pitched seven perfect innings of relief last outing (that was against the tigers too). What do you think of him?
The Reds might stink, but I'm still a fan!

He may be another Matt Riley type guy.

You can pick him up and take the gamble, but what happens next no one will know.

I don't think he is the real deal, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I won't be picking him up.

1- Have you seen the Tigers this year? There havent been easy and they have been hot as of lately. they scored 11 runs in one inning a few days ago so lets not compare them to the Mets just yet.
2-Westbrook has been a starter in the past and hasnt been reliable. For some reason he seems to dominate the Tigers. He came in relieve of Jeff Dmico the other day after he(Dsucko) allowed 4 without getting a single out and ìtched 7 ip of perfect ball.
Could be a nice spot starter
