What a great start for the Sox.
They are 6-1 against the Yanks thus far this year, completing the three game sweep in New York with the 2-0 win complements of Pedro and Manny Ramirez.
The Sox now have 4.5 games on the Yanks, but it's too early to be scoreboard watchin.

New York looked like a little league team today the way they were fielding ball.
Posada had a rough day catching (though he did somewhat redeem himself with a nice catch in the Sox dugout).
Jeter throws an easy one away to first.
And how about Matsui just watching David Ortiz's double land in fair territory.
The Sox didn't capitalize on those mistakes, but that didn't matter, Manny made them pay.

Can't disagree with you there. Right now more than half the teams in the league are playing better than the Yankees. As I said in another post, I have to think this is rock bottom for this year. The team really can't hit any worse and the pitching is good enough to sustain about a .500 record even with anemic hitting. They can only get better.
